"Vingt Vignettes de Swing Pour le Violon Jazz" ("Twenty Swing Vignettes for the Jazz Violin") is a collection of 20 improvised and transcribed solos, (most of them 32 bars in length) and are composed and created in the “Hot Swing” and “Gypsy Jazz” swing styles made famous by jazz violin greats Joe Venuti and Stephane Grapelli. The purpose and intention of this is to be able to offer the violinist interested in this style of playing, a resource of professional quality swing violin manuscripts. Each song in the collection is carefully crafted, edited and notated with bowings, accents, fingerings, and slide notational markings, (to name just a few) that all help convey and illuminate many of the musical and technical secrets of these legendary artists style of play.

Each song in the collection is accompanied by a chord chart and several (usually five) audio files, (violin, guitar and bass) all of which are designed to support and enhance the learning of the printed music. This combination of manuscript and audio files offers the violinist a great number of unique options in which to study, practice and perform this music.
