Charlie Parker

My “Charlie Parker, Transcriptions For The Jazz Violinist” is a collection of songs and respective solos of the great jazz-bebop alto saxophonist Charlie "Bird" Parker that are transcribed and edited for the violin. Each transcription is edited with a full array of performance markings, including bowings, bow markings, fingerings, phrase markings, accents and accidentals, to name a few, and are all implemented to illustrate not just the proper notes and pitches played by Parker, but to help illuminate his unique performing style. 

Although these transcriptions are not for sale publicly, I can share them with you in a private lesson setting. Songs in the collection include several of Parker’s most famous and well known compositions, including Au Privave, Billy's Bounce, Blues For Alice, Chi-Chi, Confirmation, Dewey Square, Diverse, Donna Lee, K.C. Blues, Moose The Mooche, Now's The Time, Ornithology, Perhaps, Scrapple From The Apple and Yardbird Suite. 

Included herein are four of the transcriptions that I have recorded with and over the original Parker recordings.
